She’s “Checking Out”

It seems another hollywood liberal is threatening to leave if John McCain is elected. This isn’t really shocking news. I mean we heard this garbage back in 2004 from the likes of Alec Baldwin, Robert Redford and Michael Moore. And in true liberal fashion, they failed to honor their words. What did we expect from a party–and people–where words like honor and integrity mean nothing.
This go around it is Mrs. Tim Robbins. Or Susan Sarandon for those in Rio Linda. She tells the Telegraph her financial and vocal support for Barack Obama has not endeared her to some fellow Democrats.
“I’ve got a lot of flak from feminists who feel that I should be supporting Hillary Clinton, but I thought the whole point of feminism is that you’re not supposed to be defined by gender,” she says…
Always busy, Sarandon is about to start work on the romantic period drama The Colossus, but with the presidential election campaign being heatedly contested, she also has bigger things to consider.
“If McCain gets in, it’s going to be very, very dangerous,” she says.
“It’s a critical time, but I have faith in the American people. If they prove me wrong, I’ll be checking out a move to Italy. Maybe Canada, I don’t know. We’re at an abyss.”
I guess I have to admire her grit and patience. I mean, she has been really taking one for the team up until now. 36 years of her life lived under Republican presidents and yet, somehow, she hasn’t left. How, oh how, has she withstood it for so long?
What I find humerous is why she is so upset with Mr. Straight Talker……he’ll do as much damage as the other two jabronies.
